so if i get a jumper harness so i wont have any cel's what obd1 ecu would i need for vtec and everything to work???

p28 obd 1 vtec ECU

from 92-95 civic ex/si

grab up an automatic ecu, they are cheaper and easily converted to manual

p28, p72, or p30 all support vtec.
P06, etc can be converted to vtec fairly easily. Thats what Im running.
