It will show rich, egt's are a matter of tuning, not really gonna drop them down. High egt's arent the problem, they are a side-effect of something else going down that we dont want, pre-ignition or knock, too much timing retard, etc.
BTW, knock sensors and EGT gauges are not tuning tools, they are feedback to let us know when things arent going the way we want. Reading the spark plugs and combustion chamber is really the only way to correctly dissern what the engine wants.
Alcohol/methanol are fuels, and you engine wants to use them as such. Their presence will have to be factored into the tuning to get the most out of it.
